DIAMONDS ON A SURFACE NOBODY LOOKS AT
Seen from the front, the Amira is a plain solitaire stud: one round brilliant, four prongs, nothing else. Turn it a few degrees and forty-six diamonds appear along the walls of the gallery underneath, set into a surface that faces sideways and downward.
From directly in front they cannot be seen at all. They are visible in profile, which on an earring means they are visible to everyone except the person wearing it.
THE SETTING
A hidden halo is harder to set than a visible one, and it is harder for an unhelpful reason: the surfaces are vertical. Stones set into the side of a gallery are working against gravity while the setter closes the metal, and there is no flat plane to register them against. The row still has to run true, because the profile view is exactly where a wobble shows.
The centre is a 1.25 carat round brilliant on four prongs, sitting high enough that the gallery beneath it stays open and the small stones catch light passing under the piece.

Diamonds — 2 round brilliant centres, 7.00 mm, 1.25 ct each (2.50 ct); 42 round brilliant at 1.70 mm and 4 at 1.60 mm (0.91 ct). 48 stones, 3.41 ct total.
Certification — every diamond of 0.20 ct and above ships with its certificate: GIA for natural, IGI for lab-grown.
Setting — Four-prong centre, hidden halo set into the gallery walls.
Fastening — screw-back posts.
Metal — 14K or 18K gold, in yellow, white or rose. 5.10 g at 14K, 6.00 g at 18K.
Diamond origin — natural or lab-grown, to preference.
