ONE PRONG, TWO STONES
The Dakota is set with shared prongs. Rather than giving every diamond its own four claws, a single prong sits between each neighbouring pair and holds both at once — which halves the amount of metal on the face of the ring and lets the stones sit almost edge to edge.
It also doubles the consequence of getting one wrong. An independent prong that is slightly off affects one stone. A shared prong that is off affects two, and because it cannot be adjusted toward one without pulling away from the other, there is no correcting it afterwards. Every seat has to be right the first time, twenty times around.
THE STONES
Twenty emerald cuts, 4.55 × 3.25 mm, 0.282 carats each — 5.64 carats running the full circumference. A step cut is the least forgiving choice for this setting, because its long parallel facets make the eye track straight down the row. Any stone sitting a fraction high, or turned a degree out of line, interrupts a line the design has deliberately made easy to read.
With so little metal between the stones, the band reads as an unbroken run of diamond rather than a series of settings.

Certification — every diamond of 0.20 ct and above ships with its certificate: GIA for natural, IGI for lab-grown.
