A BRACELET HAS A BEGINNING
A ring made of pear cuts runs in a circle. Whichever way the stones point, the wearer turns it on the finger and the direction becomes arbitrary.
A bracelet does not close on itself. It has a clasp, which means it has a start and an end, and a row of sixty-six pears has to decide which way it travels — points running toward the hand, or away from it. Worn, the difference is real: one direction draws the eye down the arm, the other draws it back toward the body.
Every one of the sixty-six on the Gloria faces the same way. A single stone reversed would not read as a variation; it would read as an error, because the eye follows a line of points the way it follows an arrow.
THE SETTING
Each pear sits in an individual collet, cut to follow the curve of the belly and close over the point at the tip. At 6.00 × 4.00 mm and 0.355 carats these are not melee — every stone clears the 0.20 carat line, so every one of the sixty-six arrives with its own certificate.
