ELEVEN STONES, ALTERNATING
Most eternity bands repeat one orientation the whole way round. The Kennedy turns each pear against the one before it — point up, then point down — so the narrow tip of one stone nests into the full shoulder of its neighbour.
That alternation is the difficult part. Set in a single direction, a row of pears tolerates small variation because the eye follows one repeating rhythm. Alternated, every stone is read against its opposite, and any difference in length, shoulder curve or point placement shows up as a break in the pattern. Eleven pear-cut diamonds, 5.50 × 4.00 mm, 3.13 carats in total.
THE SETTING
Each diamond sits in its own prongs rather than a shared channel, with the metal drawn back between stones so the band reads as diamond rather than gold. Prongs on a pear have to be placed asymmetrically — the point needs protection the shoulders do not — and on an alternating band no two adjacent stones present the same face to the setter.
The result is an open, scalloped profile: light passes through the gaps between stones as well as across their surfaces.

Certification — every diamond of 0.20 ct and above ships with its certificate: GIA for natural, IGI for lab-grown.
Setting — Individual prongs, alternating orientation.
