PAVÉ IS A DECISION ABOUT DISTANCE
Small stones are not all one thing. Across this collection the pavé runs from 1.00 mm up to 1.90 mm, and the choice is not about cost — it is about how far away the piece is meant to be read from.
Fine pavé at 1.10 mm dissolves into a sheet of light at arm's length and disappears entirely across a room. Coarser stones hold their individual sparkle further out. The Paige is set at 1.40 mm, deliberately toward the bolder end: forty stones rather than the sixty that finer work would need, each one large enough to stay legible as a diamond rather than a glow.
THE SETTING
Those forty run along the upper edges of a squared frame that sits behind each centre, so the pavé draws a bright outline in profile while leaving the face of the piece to the large stone. The centres — 7.00 mm round brilliants at 1.25 carats each — are held in claws and set forward of the frame rather than inside it, which keeps their girdles open to the light.
This is the most metal-forward design in the collection: 4.51 grams of gold in 14K, against 1.36 grams for a plain solitaire stud. The frame is not there to hold the stone. The claws do that. The frame is there to be seen.
