ONE MOTIF, THIRTY-SIX TIMES
The Roxanne carries one hundred and forty-four diamonds in four shapes — and exactly thirty-six of each. That is not a coincidence of supply. It means the bracelet is not a line of stones at all; it is a single four-stone motif, repeated thirty-six times around the wrist.
Designing that way concentrates the risk. Every decision inside the unit — the spacing between the pear and the marquise, the height the two round sizes sit at, the angle the pear points — is made once and then committed to a hundred and forty-four times. There is no averaging out. A motif that is very slightly wrong is wrong thirty-six times, in sequence, where the repetition makes it obvious.
THE SETTING
Every stone is collet-set, each in a collar cut to its own outline: two sizes of round at 2.50 and 2.60 mm, a pear at 4.50 × 3.00 mm, and a marquise at 5.00 × 2.50 mm. Four collar geometries, cut to four depths so that all four finish level.
At 26.10 grams of gold in 14K this is among the heaviest pieces in the collection, and it holds 13.93 carats. Most of that mass is the articulated structure underneath — a bracelet has to bend, and a bracelet carrying a repeated motif has to bend without breaking the rhythm.
