METAL DOES NOT WANT TO GO ROUND AN INSIDE CORNER
Every other bezel in this collection asks the metal to wrap an outside curve or an outside corner, where the collar stretches as it closes. A heart has something none of them do: a cleft — a notch cut inward at the top of the stone.
To bezel a heart the collar has to follow that notch, which means forming an inside corner. There the metal compresses rather than stretches, and compressed metal has to go somewhere: it thickens, it wrinkles, or it lifts away from the stone. Getting a clean, tight line into the cleft of a heart is the most difficult few millimetres of bezel work there is, and it is entirely visible — the cleft is exactly where the eye looks to confirm that a heart is a heart.
The Stacy does it sixteen times.
THE SETTING
Sixteen heart cuts at 4.00 × 4.00 mm, 0.23 carats each, 3.68 carats in total, each fully bezel-set — a continuous wall of metal closed over the girdle all the way round, including the point at the bottom and the notch at the top.
It is also the most protective way to set this shape. A heart has two vulnerable places, and a full bezel is the only setting that covers both completely.

Certification — every diamond of 0.20 ct and above ships with its certificate: GIA for natural, IGI for lab-grown. All sixteen qualify.

Metal — 14K or 18K gold, in yellow, white or rose. 5.74 g at 14K, 6.75 g at 18K.
