THE ARTHUR MEN'S RING
Where two slim bars fall across the Arthur's channel decides how the whole ring reads. They land either side of the middle diamond, so the five stones group as a pair, a single and a pair, and the center of the band is marked in gold rather than left to be counted. The bars also brace the channel walls, so no stretch runs longer than two stones unsupported. The rest is flat, square-edged, polished gold.
THE DIAMONDS
Five diamonds of one size, grouped by the gold between them:
Five Round Brilliants — Five round brilliant diamonds of 0.16 ct each, set flush with the top face of the band.
Pair, Single, Pair — Two bars divide the row so the middle stone stands on its own between two pairs.
Total Carat Weight — 0.80 ct.
THE ARCHITECTURE
A straight, flush channel on a band built for daily wear:
Channel Walls — Each diamond is held at its girdle under the lip of two long walls of gold, sitting level with the top of the band.
Braced at Every Bar — The walls are tied together at both ends of the channel and at each dividing bar, so a knock from the side cannot easily spread them.
Open Beneath — There is no floor under the row, so the stones' pavilions can be seen from inside the ring.
Flat, Square-Edged Band — Flat across the top with crisp edges and a small step where the top meets the sides, narrowing toward the base; the plain gold allows for resizing.
