SIXTY-FOUR CLAWS, NONE OF THEM SHARED
Sixteen round brilliants cross the top of the Everett, each held by four claws of its own. Where two diamonds meet, two claws stand side by side rather than one reaching over both, so every stone is held at four points that belong to it alone — sixty-four in all across the row.
That is a choice about wear. A band worn every day takes its knocks across the top, and the claws meet them first. When one claw holds two stones, a single bent tip loosens both, and repairing it disturbs a diamond that was never touched. Here each stone has its own seat, so one can be re-tipped or replaced while its neighbors stay as they were set.
The pairs also set the rhythm: a diamond, two points of gold, a diamond, each stone outlined on its own rather than merged into a strip, across a flat, square-edged band 6.00 mm wide.
THE SETTING
The row sits down in a recessed track, with a narrow stepped ledge along either side. Four claws per stone, this close together, leave little room: each tip is raised, closed over the girdle and rounded in the gap between its own diamond and the next one's claw, and all sixty-four must finish at one height or the row reads as uneven.
At each end the track stops square in a closed pocket, and the band runs on plain and polished round the back.
SPECIFICATIONS
Diamonds — 16 round brilliant, 2.10 × 2.00 mm, 0.0294 ct each. 0.47 ct total.
Certification — these are melee diamonds and are not individually certified, which is standard practice at this size.
Setting — Four-prong, a separate set of four per stone, in a recessed track across the top half of the band.
Band — 6.00 mm wide, flat with square edges. 2.66 mm at the profile over the stones, 1.50 mm at the base. 17.33 mm inner diameter at size 7.
Metal — 14K or 18K gold, in yellow, white or rose. 5.17 g at 14K, 6.08 g at 18K.
Diamond origin — natural or lab-grown, to preference.
