A SQUARE FOR ONE, A NARROW FRAME FOR TWO
Down the center of the Marcus the diamonds sit in two kinds of frame, one after the other. A square holds a single round brilliant of 2.00 mm, with polished gold on all four sides. Then a narrow frame holds two smaller stones, one above the other, filling the channel rail to rail. Seven squares cross the top of the band, with a pair between each and the next and a pair closing the row at either end.
So the center alternates in density as well as size: one stone with room around it, then two packed tight. Along each edge a single file of small stones runs unbroken between raised rails, and against those two steady lines the eye follows the pattern in the middle.
THE SETTING
Each square stone sits on four prongs, one in each corner, inside a stepped frame. A square is an unforgiving surround for a round stone: gold on every side becomes a measure, and a diamond a fraction off center shows at once. Each pair stands on six prongs, the middle two shared by both stones. The edge rows are bead-set, a pair of beads between every two diamonds.
The set section ends square at each side, and below it the gold is plain. The band narrows from 8.60 mm across the top to 7.21 mm at the base, 1.50 mm thick at both, 5.61 grams in 14K. Beneath every stone a small opening passes through to the inside.

Certification — these are melee diamonds and are not individually certified, which is standard practice at this size.
Setting — Prong: four on each stone in a square frame, six on each pair between, the middle two shared. Shared bead on the two edge rows. Running the top half of the band.
Band — 8.60 mm wide at the top, tapering to 7.21 mm at the base. 1.50 mm at the profile, top and base. 19.81 mm inner diameter at size 10.
Metal — 14K or 18K gold, in yellow, white or rose. 5.61 g at 14K, 6.60 g at 18K.
Diamond origin — natural or lab-grown, to preference.
