THE MIDDLE OF THE BAND IS SET TWICE
Two rows of thirteen round brilliants cross the top of an 8.00 mm band, each row sunk into its own track cut down into the face. Between the two tracks runs a single polished rail. It is the inner wall of both at once, so every one of the twenty-six diamonds is held on one side by that same strip of gold.
That rail must run true down the whole length of both rows, because a line that wanders is answered twice, once on each side. A plain raised rim follows each outer edge, so the face reads as three bars of polished gold with two strips of diamond let in between them. The 8.00 mm carries on to the base without a taper and the inside is left solid: 6.69 grams at 14K, 2.13 mm deep through the set section against 1.50 mm underneath.
THE SETTING
Where two stones meet, a claw tip shows on each wall of the track, so every diamond is held at the outer edge of the band and again at the center rail. Little gold shows between one stone and the next.
Both walls are cut down into the face rather than built up on it, so the metal holding the stones is the metal carrying the rim and the rail beside it. A wall that thins along its run shows as a wave against that polished edge, and each track closes in a corner of gold turned in from the rim, where the last seat must land square against a straight line.

Certification — these are melee diamonds and are not individually certified, which is standard practice at this size.
