CLOSE AT THE EDGES, SPACED DOWN THE CENTER
The Tobias sets its diamonds at two spacings. In the two outer rows the stones run shoulder to shoulder; down the center each one stands apart in its own seat, with polished gold either side. The gold between the tracks and along both edges is left standing as rails, so each row reads as its own line rather than as one field of stones.
Rows pitched that differently would end level only by coincidence, so they are not asked to. The center strip closes early, inside a recessed frame of its own, while the outer rows run on further round the band. Where the stones give way to plain gold, the edge steps back in the middle instead of cutting straight across all 8.03 mm.
THE SETTING
All sixty-five stones are bead-set, held by small grains of gold raised from the surrounding metal, but the two layouts ask for different work. In the outer rows each bead is shared between two neighbors, so the stones must sit at one height down the whole row for every bead to hold on both sides. In the center each stone has four beads of its own in a square seat, with flat gold between the seats where any tool mark shows.
Every seat is drilled through, and inside the band the pattern appears again as rows of small openings, closer at the edges and sparser in the middle. The top measures 1.54 mm through and the ring weighs 5.75 grams in 14K: slim and light for a band this broad.

Setting — Bead, shared between neighbors in the two outer rows; four beads to a square seat in the center strip.
Band — 8.03 mm wide at the top, 7.43 mm at the base; 1.54 mm at the profile at the top, 1.50 mm at the base. 19.81 mm inner diameter at size 10.
Metal — 14K or 18K gold, in yellow, white or rose. 5.75 g at 14K, 6.76 g at 18K.
Diamond origin — natural or lab-grown, to preference.
